DAY 01

BAGDOGRA - DARJEELING
Arrive Bagdogra airport , Transfer to Darjeeling (2134 mts ) 90 Kms drive 2 hrs .Upon arrival check into hotel.Darjeeling coined from the word Dorje a stone, thunderbolt of Indra and Ling a place hence a place of thundelbolt . After an easy1 hrs hot drive from the plains the steady uphill drive begins to touch the ‘Queen of the hills ’ beauty crowned by the Himalayas.Darjeeling hill grows the worlds best tea.

DAY 02

DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING
Early morning drive to Tigerhill (2590 mts) for the breathtaking sunrise over eastern himalayas Mt Kanchenzonga and Mt Everest.Visit oldest Yigacholing Monastery built in 1857 ,belonging to the Gelukpa sect has the beautiful statue of Maitera (the future Buddha) .Afternoon sightseeing begins with Himalayan Mountaineering Institute trains mountaineers built in 1850.Drive to Tibetan refugee self help centre which houses hand woven carpets and wood carvings.Visit Happy valley tea estate .Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 03

DARJEELING – PELLING
Early morning drive to Pelling 2060 mts 72 kms drive 4 hrs Upon arrival check into hotel Driving downhill through tea plantation over Peshok we enter sikkim from Melli.On the way visit Pemayangtse (Sublime Perfect Lotus) built in 1705 of Nyingmapa order red hat sect .Shrines of Padmasambha (Gururimpoche) It was built by Hlatsin Chhembo for pure monks. Main feature Zandok Palri . Overnight at hotel stay

DAY 04

PELLING – GANGTOK
Transfer to Gangtok - flattened hillock 1700 mts 112 kms drive 5 hrs. Early morning short uphill trek 30 minutes through forest to Sangacholing Monastery (Place of secret spell)of Nyingmapa order built in 1697 AD .One the way see Rabdenshe Ruins The second capital of sikkim till 1814 A.D .This place offers a magnificent view of kanchenzonga ranges. Overnight at hotel .

DAY 05

EXCURSION TO CHANGU LAKE
Changu lake 3780 mts 35 Kms Drive 2hrs one way . Tsomgo meaning source of the lake.A totally different landscaping drives to the lake .The lake is 15 mtrs deep 1km long it remains frozen during winter. A wide variety of blooming flowers like primula, rhododendrons, blue and yellow puppy will be bloomed from May to August .even migratory birds like Siberian crane visits here. Evening walk in spit free Gangtok town overnight at hotel.

DAY 06

GANGTOK –KALIMPONG
Transfer from Gangtok to Kalimpong 1250 mts 75 kms Drive 3hrs .Kalimpong meaning black spur. Before departure visit Enchey Monastery built by Druptob Karpo a tantric master known for flying skill built in 1840 of Nyingma order ‘Red hat sect’ it worships Guru Padma-shambhava . Rumtek monastery of kagu order built in 1960s during the ninth head karmapa named Gupabar Phyyung dorje in 1725 Ad raja of sikkim invited him to establish Karmapa monastery in Sikkim..Traditional in design of tibetan monastic art ,ascertained to be a replica of kagyu headquarter in Tsurpu (Tibet).
Overnight at hotel.

DAY 07

KALIMPONG – BAGDOGRA
Drive 3hrs 80 kms .Early morning visit Zong Dong Palri , Fo- Brang Monastery it is of Nyingmapa order . This is situated at the top of the hill of kalimpong and has a spectacular view of kanchenzonga ranges . Departure to Bagdogra airport for onward journey.
